28 January 2020, Dutch Marine Energy Centre and the MET-CERTIFIED project hold a workshop on IEC standardization and certification of marine energy convertors. During the workshop we will explain the marine technologies sector of IECRE, the IEC System for Certification to Standards Relating to Equipment for Use in Renewable Energy Applications. The objective of the workshop is to raise awareness with all stakeholders about the role of certification in building investor confidence in the marine renewable energy sector, reducing technology risks, raising (project) finance and facilitating international export of goods and services.
