TU Delft

The test facilities at the Delft University of Technology (TU Delft) are mainly used in fundamental scientific research. Test projects are always coupled to scientific research questions and are usually of a short duration. Students, PhD students and partners from industry are often involved in these projects, which are usually focused on turbulence, sediment transport, and other environmental effects.

TU Delft’s test facility’s track record includes an Archimedes- and irrigation pump, as well as several scale models of enabling technologies. Their facilities include a scaled wave- and stream flume, and a towing tank. These facilities can be used to test scaled wave and tidal stream technologies of TRLs 1 to 3.
